SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION

Premier Basketball NY is committed to providing our campers and staff with a safe, clean, and friendly environment.  We are very aware and remain conscious of the virus and the risk of contracting it still remains.  We have done our best in trying to keep the kids physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy.  The online Zoom classes have definitely kept the kids spirits high and hopefully gave the parents a little break.  Speaking with many parents and their kids, most of us want to get on with our lives.  We have been locked up for over 100 days.  As much as the Premier Staff would like to get back on the court, we understand changes have to be made this summer as we monitor the CDC updates.  Premier is known to have a very intensive, high energy learning environment.  We don’t want to change that!!  Adjustments need to be made from prior summers to balance the the teaching of the game with the safety for the kids..  Contact full court scrimmages is the main challenge.  We have made changes to the daily activity schedule to replace that portion of the day.  We are all about the teaching and will continue to be known for that this summer.

DAILY SCREENING

Staff and campers will be screened upon arrival each morning. This will include temperature with a no contact digital thermometer, past 3 month health inquiry and sign in form for contract tracing. Daily temperature of less than 99.5% will allow staff and campers to participate that day.  If a staff member or camper has a temperature greater than that they will unfortunately not be able to attend camp until a Doctors clearance and a 14 day quarantine. Asking parents to perform health screening for their child before their arrival at camp each day will be very helpful.
During the day if a staff member or camper has any signs or symptoms detailed below we will immediately call the parent/guardian.

  • Fever or chills
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Sore throat
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Plus any other signs of not feeling well

CLEANING & SANITIZING PROCEDURES

After each day we will follow enhanced cleaning protocols to ensure that the facility is fully disinfected for the next day, this will include bathrooms, counters, lunch tables, and bleachers.

Frequent hand washing and sanitizing will be encouraged throughout the day – additional sanitizing stations have been installed throughout the facility to promote usage
